If this is a review, I'll eat my shoe. It's a ramble from someone who doesn't know a lot about digital photography, doesn't know how to use is camera, doesn't have a clue about lens performance, and is unable to make a good review.

I'm not saying this lens is very good, I'm just saying that your analysis still does not give me a clue about its quality.

I hope you are better in taking photos than you are in reviewing. And for gods sake, just DRINK that bottle of whiskey and have fun!

For your information, there are three F1.4 prime lenses for the 4/3 system, two by Sigma, one by Leica, maybe that's why Olympus is in no hurry to add another one? And the 50mm F1.4 by Sigma can definitely be called a portrait lens. But if you want to take full-body portraits as in your examples, the other two (a 30mm and a 25mm) would be better.
Finally, for faster indoor focusing you don't need to replace a camera, an external flash (with infrared AF support) will help a lot.

Contrary to the cheap shots from "A" above, I thought this review was very well done. The reviewer has done a good job of taking real world shots in a variety of situations and pointing out flaws where he sees them.

I say this despite the fact that I'm a fan of the 50mm ZD and use it almost exclusively. It beats the pants off of the Sigma lenses and it's the best option for me right now. But it's not as perfect as other websites have suggested. Olympus still needs to fill the niche for a fast-focusing portrait lens.
